Asking Questions is Hard

I do not like asking questions, but I cannot avoid it for my own good. Since arriving in Australia, every professor and supervisor has emphasised the importance of asking questions, repeating that there are no stupid questions, just ask any questions. I appreciate that encouragement. Despite this, I still find it challenging, and it takes a lot of energy for me to reach out for help or ask questions. When I was working on my thesis this time, I had hundreds of questions. Reaching out to supervisors and asking questions was tough. I do not like the feeling that I bother someone and fear that my questions might seem silly. Despite the inner conflict I faced, I kept asking questions and seeking help. Enduring that stress was worthwhile because I could complete my thesis! I acknowledge that asking questions and seeking help can be intimidating. However, once I asked for help, I realised that people are genuinely willing to help. Those questions are so important for my improvement. I hope you guys do not find it as challenging as I do to ask questions or feel hesitant about seeking help!
